The New Zealand Health Industry Awards

The New Zealand Health Industry Awards and Benefit Gala Dinner 2008 on Saturday 11th October, organised by Synergy Events was  heralded as a huge success. A Charity auction raised just over $12,000 for UNICEF to help the women and children living with HIV & AIDS in Papua New Guinea.

TV3 Celebrity Petra Bagust was the MC of this year’s awards evening. Petra had the audience laughing and well involved on the night with the crowd stomping their feet to drum roll the winners. The evening was a huge success with award winners proudly accepting their awards and the people thoroughly entertained by an impressive line up of International and local performers including Mig Ayesa “Rock Star INXS”, Fiona Pears “Virtuoso Violinist”, Caleb Bartolo “So you think you can dance Australia”, and Catlin & Sika “International Musicians”. The crowd came out at the end of the night buzzing and commenting on the good night that was had by all and everyone went home with a Cellguard™ Phone Card which was kindly sponsored by Synergy Group NZ.

One of the surprises of the evening was a special award presented to Nicola Grace for recognition for exemplary dedication, commitment and promotion of freedom of choice in healthcare for all New Zealanders.

Nicola founded Health Freedom NZ and as spokesperson has been the driving power rallying the New Zealand public to march and protest at the proposed introduction of a bill that would see New Zealanders lose their freedom of choice in Natural Healthcare. Nicola’s tenacity and courage has been second to none and above and beyond the call of duty. Nicola is a shining example of the Kiwi spirit.
